William Renloth

William Renloth has been embroiled in the aid industry for a decade as an engineer, economist, civil servant, and diplomat. By working for Third World governments, NGOs, donors, and the UN he has witnessed the struggle to reduce poverty—and its complex political economy—from a diverse variety of perspectives. He’s lived in the wilderness beyond running water, roads, and phones, and has sat on the General Council of the World Trade Organisation. His writing reflects this experience of hypocrisy, struggle, and indefatigable optimism.
