Born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, KK Brees is a survivor of Catholic school, urban renewal, Dutch Elm Disease, and summertime DDT spraying for mosquito control. She’s worked in a bakery, been a bookmobile librarian, classroom teacher, university professor, and editor. She lives on a ranch in the west central Rockies where she raises goats and gardens. She loves her Harley Davidson, her Kadey Krogen yacht Huckleberry, and her husband, not necessarily in that order.
Fiction is her first love. She’s currently considering which of her characters from The Esposito Caper will get another chance to complicate their already confused lives and is also working on volume two of her OSS Agent Katrin Nissen series.
As Karen K. Brees Ph.D. she’s written The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Preserving Food and The Everything Health Guide to Depression. Depression preceded Preservation. She’ll leave it to the reader to decide if there’s a connection.
The Esposito Caper
It was a simple little heist and a not so simple murder.
